11:00 AM 10/24 – How cold was it in your area last night? BWI hit 38º again, but chilly temperatures will remain in place for the next several days. A FREEZE WATCH has been issued by the National Weather Service from 1 AM to 10 AM Friday for the suburbs to the north and west of I-95. TODAY – We’ll end up with a nice but chilly day today! Skies will be partly to mostly sunny through the day with highs reaching the low to mid 50s. It’ll be a bit breezy too with winds in from the west at 10-15 mph. TONIGHT – FREEZE WATCHES are in effect. Mainly clear skies and relaxing winds will make for a cold night. Temperatures are expected in the low to mid 30s around our area, so frost and freeze concerns are certainly present. FRIDAY – To end the work week, we’ll have another nice but chilly day. Highs will be in the lower 50s for the most part with mostly sunny skies overhead. FRIDAY NIGHT – Another cold night will make for more frost and freeze concerns. Mainly clear skies will remain in place with lows dropping down back to the low to mid 30s. SATURDAY – We’ll have a lovely first half of the weekend, but it will still be cold. Highs are expected in the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies. LOOKING AHEAD – Sunday will bring back mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 50s, then we may have upper 50s on Monday. A gradual warming trend will begin on Monday with some not-quite-so-chilly temperatures returning. Stay tuned for the latest and have a wonderful day! (Forecaster Mike)
