11/17/2014: Drama tsunami; Oh yes; I have possibly just coined a new phrase! Never thought about it in that precise manner before, but while freethinking (this means collapsed into a chair and sitting still for a brief few moments and purposefully deep breathing; slowly, in and out, in and out, giving my feet time to rest..) the concept of uninvolved bystanders actually drowning in other peoples tidal wave of dramatic cause and effect suddenly crystallized and took form in my mind. I do believe its possible. Working late last night and since 7 am today to get the house back in shape, settling Daddy back into a household routine, (Im still working out the correct meds timing), phone calls, phone calls, phone calls (none of them for me but each very disruptive to progress) an early trip to pick up paperwork, back home, midday trip to grocery store with Mom, during which Daddys sitter calling that hes not feeling well, picked up a meds list from the VA and rushed back home, got Daddy checked out and fed, more phone calls (again not for me)... Discovered at 3:15 pm that the chest freezer is shortcycling! When I opened the lid to stash some food and heard water running, I realized that the occasional quiet hum I have been subconsciously hearing and not focusing upon as I rushed hither and yon, for the last two days has been the freezer motor trying to start! Sheeeesh! Mom makes 911 Phone calls to locate possible repairmen and to my siblings to rehome some of the food. No repairmen found, but it has resulted in an almost empty upright freezer being volunteered. Thats great, but when it arrives, its gonna be a long night to get it all rearranged... And if it doesnt all fit, we will possibly cook and can some of the blueberries that we worked so hard to pick! It could be much worse! Could be without power during a hurricane, lol. This chest freezer is 15 years old (bought brand new and has only had one home) so maybe its time for it to take a rest! The coffee pot is empty since noon, lol. Refusing to brew two pots in one day, Im subsisting upon home brewed tea, and sheer willpower to get it all done. Nothin wrong with me right now that a good Winterlong nap wouldnt cure! :-)
