11/20: Brendan was alert all day today. 1st shift said he did well in his chair this morning. One of the aides played his music for him while he was up & said that he appeared to be actually watching the tv. He was very quiet today, other than a couple of coughing spells. He looked out into the hallway every time he heard someone walk by or talking. I read him scripture again today, Dad was there when he was in his chair early this evening. He did well. He stayed awake, & again, just looked around. He got back to bed & was a little sleepy, but his eyes stayed open, for the most part. Around 9 or so, he suddenly started to moan & cry. He gazed into my eyes & cried, I put my finger over his trach again. He seemed very close to speaking again, but he just moaned, in his voice, no words this time. He settled down. The aides turned him, & he seemed worn out. He fell asleep soon after. Thank you Cindy for visiting tonight also. Prayers for peace, strength, & recovery. Thank you & God Bless! Missi
