11-22-14 Heavy lifting at the COMANCHEs work yard and container/shop in Parkland. A 1,700 pound bad A/C generator of unknown origin was taken to the scrap yard near by with only two of Comanches oldest regular volunteers and board members doing the job. At least the rain stopped when we started working! In this brief video Tom Payne is working the chain lift. The motor had to be dragged to the container where the chain lift was attached to the corner by the door and raised high enough for the high rail truck to back under it. That was enough work for the old men.. at noon we retreated to the pub to rest!
