11/24/2014 TO ALL FRIENDS OF THE BROCKTON MASONIC LODGE Greetings one and all; I know that there is a buzzing in the air and I do believe that might just be all of those turkeys trying to get away from the butcher…good luck birdies. Anyway, I write you all to give an update regarding the Brockton holiday parade which is set for this coming Saturday. The District Deputy welcomes and urges all to come out and join in the holiday fun. This Friday at 12 noon there will be 2 trailers at the lodge building for the purpose of decorating for the holiday floats. The first will be for the use of the girl scout/brownie troops who are very excited about the project as well as being included in our extended family. The second is for the Rainbow girls under the direction of Sue Hamblin to use to create an awareness float for all lodges. A master carpenter will be on hand to assist in any construction needed to facilitate the design and fun for the floats. Bring work clothes and parents are urged to assist. A special thanks to Mike Kelley who graciously provided the trailers for our use. On Saturday at 8:30am, there will be a full delicious breakfast being served by Bob Farrell, who always puts on a great spread. ALL ARE URGED TO COME OUT FOR BREAKFAST. There is no charge. However, any donations will be appreciated and will be applied towards supporting the newly formed chapter of DeMolay for our young men. Thank you Bob. We are asking all Masonic lodges in the area, Eastern Star members, DeMolay, Rainbow girls, York and Scottish Rite appending bodies to participate, show support and arrive at the building by 11:30am. Proper dress of dark suit and ties is required of Blue lodge members as we are Masons. All ladies and families who wish to march are strongly encouraged to join the procession. This is always a fun event and well attended. The parade starts at 1pm and we have great line position this year so please come early and have fun with your brothers and sisters in Masonry while raising awareness. Fraternally
