11 January 2015 On Friday January 9th at approximately 12:50 pm two suspects forced their way into the residence at 1809 Glenwood Circle on Des Moines’ south side. One of the occupants of the residence was home at the time of the offense and called police while they hid in the basement. When the suspects forced open the door of the room where the victim was hiding and saw the victim, the suspects fled the house. Images of the suspects were captured by the home’s video surveillance system. One suspect was wearing a dark blue or black top that had writing on the sleeves as well as black athletic pants with twin white stripes going down the side of each leg. The other suspect was wearing a dark coat with a light colored hood. The hood had a dark stripe in the center while the coat had light stripes across the chest and shoulders. Both suspects were described as appx. 6 feet tall.
