11 Jun I’ve Found The Mecca of Homeware Stores! Tweet Contact Info 011 886 8124 Email website Shop U106 Entrance 4 Brightwater Commons Republic Rd, Randburg Darlings, I’ve dropped the ball! For the past year I’ve been visiting the most amazing homeware store in Randburg, scooping up wonderful deals and all sorts of fabulously cute items and not once did I think “I should blog about this” (shocking I know!) Luckily for you, it all clicked into place when a colleague suggested it as a lead for a blog post. When I saw her email I immediately smacked myself upside the head and made a plan to go through to snap some photos of all the lovely things available at the store. So here we go: if you have a home, bedroom or even a cosy cardboard box that needs a bit of decorating then you simply can’t afford not to visit Home Stuff ! The rather large homeware store, located at Brightwater Commons (the old Randburg Waterfront), stocks a huge variety of items for the home – including kitchen utensils, foodie gadgets, bathroom accessories, fashion items, furniture, craft items, toys and much much more. While the shop can be quite overwhelming on your first visit you’ll soon notice that everything is carefully laid out and grouped together to make everything super easy to find. One of my favourite sections of the store has got to be the kitchen gadget area – here you’ll find all sorts of fun and fab kitchen gadgets from garlic peelers to fancy pants chef knives. They also stock a huge variety of brands to suit every budget – so whether you’re a Chef’n kind of girl or a no name brand supporter you’ll find something nifty and fun to take home. Something else I’m absolutely obsessed with is their range of vintage tin items. I have a weakness for 50s pinup-style decor and I almost fell over when I saw their range of vintage-style Coca-Cola merchandise. On their shelves you’ll find everything you need to create the soda-pop shop kitchen of your dreams - including drinks trays emblazoned with vintage pinup adverts, red and white branded storage tins, old-school straw dispensers, and drinking glasses. I had to exercise great self-control when I first saw this area of the shop and I’m proud to say that on my last visit I left the store with nothing but two vintage Coke advert posters (I’m making such progress!) Home Stuff also stocks a fab range of class jars – mostly Consol – but other brands as well. I absolutely love their range of chalkboard labelled jars in all sorts of shapes and sizes. And, if you’re a Tupperware queen then you’ll spend hours in their huge plastics and Tupperware section which is chockfull of Tupperware for every conceivable need in the home. They also have a great selection of smaller gift-type items so make sure you pop in the next time you’re stuck for a present idea! Lastly, and this is the best part, their prices are really good too! Over the past year I can’t remember a time when they weren’t having a sale – there’s always a bargain table at the front of the store – but even without the sale items their prices are extremely friendly on the pocket. Home Stuff is located at entrance four, just above Woolworths. by Crystal Your comments...
