11 years ago I was awarded tax credits , I advised HMRC that I was not entitled to the but they insisted on paying them , even when they agreed that they had made a mistake they continued , despite monthly calls , to pay me !! Once they agreed they were in the wrong they still made 3 more payments as computer generated !! This week they have demanded repayment of £3400 now and sending in the bailiffs !!! I have spent 2 hours on the phone explaining the situation and they admitted their mistake but want the money !! Finally after deep negotiations they have come to a financial arrangement with me but I am so angry and upset by their incompetence that I question the ability of this country to get anything right !!! I am an honest hard working professional person and question my position in society !! X Hurt angry and in despair !!! X x If I behaved in my job the way they do in theirs I would be out of a job !!!!! X PS !! I offered the money back at the time but they said not to worry as they would claim it over the next few years but stopped in 2006 and didnt inform me !! No wonder wine and Zopiclone needed ! Im distraught !!!!!
