11 years ago at 8:52am, our beautiful Maylee Lynn Kamery made her way into the world. 👶She brought us so much joy and has continued to do so ever since! Some fun memories from that day: *Im not sure why its necessary to weigh pregnant women upon 11:00pm admission to the hospital! Seeing the 70 pound gain brought a combination of laughter and tears! 🏥😳. *I was then angry at Johnie when he went for a 3am Hardees run and ate in front of the prego wife who wasnt allowed to eat due to delivery coming soon! 🍔🍟 *Brandi who was in Arizona🌵, wouldnt let grandma Judy hang up the phone. Mom had strict instructions to stay by the delivery room door and give a play by play of what grandma could hear through the door! 👂🚪. Even after she was born, Brandi wouldnt let mom hang up the phone! 📞 *johnie went to the waiting room to show the grandparents their new baby girl. But I wanted everyone in the delivery room with me when we announced that we named her after the grandmas middle names. May is from Jeanette May. Lee is from Judith Lee. Lynn is from Buffi Lynn. * Amy Harrison captured a photo of a beautiful pink sunrise that morning and knew we would be having a baby girl that day!☀️ *Lisa Sinsel rushed to the hospital and in her excitement put her shirt on backwards. 👚 She and Tracy Geist went back to minden and got their kids out of class to tell them in person. They came back later that day with the kids! *This was before texting. Im pretty sure Johnie Kamery called everyone in his phone! 💘📱#prouddaddy *Cathy Sanchez brought 13 candied apples since she was born on the 13th. My grandma Mildred (who loved sweets) took half of them home when I asked her if she wanted a couple! 🍎 *Great Grandma was so excited to have her first great grandbaby that she drove by herself to Kearney from Grand Island TWICE in one day. After her first visit, she went back to GI and was going to wait for aunt Jan, but got too anxious and drove herself back that afternoon again! 🚗 *Papa Aug was so nervous to hold her because she was so little. He said, Im not very good at holding them when they are this little! He finally did, and tears ran from his cheek onto her cheek! 😢 *Dr. Wheelock was my principal at the school I was teaching at. She announced it over the loud speaker at school and she said she heard screams from the classes through the halls. Pam Huls Luke was my amazing substitute and was also pregnant. She literally made it through my maternity leave and then delivered her baby the next week! *I called Amie Gamboian next. I was in qualification to become a director! I asked Amie to fill in for me and complete a 10am welcome appointment I had with my new/sharp consultant, Lisa Betty! *We had so many visitors that day! We were running on complete adrenaline and didnt even realize we had been up for 40 hours before crashing that evening! 😴 This precious girl brightens so many lives and we are forever grateful!
