11 years ago, on a night much like tonight, I was captaining the sailing ship Adoracion across the Sea of Cortés. The rest of the crew had gone to sleep and the water was still,, when all of a sudden I saw a lone seagull, searching for food in the night when all others had long gone. I rewarded his efforts with some chum, and that morning when it was my turn to rest I decided to be more like that seagull and instead cast a line. That was the day I caught the largest amberjack of my life. -HC
