11 years ago today we were in the midst of finishing our paperwork for our second adoption of a child born in Guatemala. There was a ruling in Guatemala which impacted all future international adoptions. I remember the sick feeling in my gut. We chose to move forward. We could have halted our process and waited for things to be more clear. We did not. We continued on in faith. Today, March 5, 2014, our son is a fifth grade, Lego loving, Minecraft playing, theatre loving, future X game competing, healthy boy with an infectious laugh. There were days during his adoption process that I dared not imagine these days. I vow to never diminish the miracle of each of my 5 children. I am a better human for parenting each of them.
