1100 BLK GORRILL ST. SUSPICIOUS SUBJECT UPDATE - ARREST On January 21, 2015, at 2:36 pm, Bakersfield police received a telephone call from a woman who resides in the 4600 block of Bloomquist Dr. reporting that a black male suspect had just tried to force entry into her home. Between 2:43 pm and 5:34 pm, the police department received three additional calls with the female reporting parties indicating the same circumstance. These calls were received from the 100 block of Bermuda Ct., the 2500 block of Olmo Ct. and the 2400 block of Pinion Springs Circle. In each of the cases the suspect was described as a black male and in two cases the suspect was said to have fled in a white Buick. At one of the addresses, the suspect entered the residence and kissed a 15 year old female juvenile who was sitting on a couch. In each case the suspect entered the residence through the front door, either by knocking or allowing himself in through an unlocked door. Officer Seth Palmer located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle near Wilson Rd. and Edgemont Dr. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 53 year old Bakersfield resident Calvin Cartwright. Cartwright was arrested for 3 counts of Burglary, 2 counts of Aggravated Trespass and 1 count of Annoying Molesting a Juvenile. He was booked into the Kern County Jail.
