1166 (ITR V ) - Do i need to send return or acknowledgement to the department ? Project - Make Knowledge Free ! Posted By - Mandeep Jaiswal On - Youtube Video - https://youtube/watch?v=gauX6v1Cktg Bro..after submitting the online return..whom I need to send my ITR print out .. my ward officer or CPC Bangalore.. And how to get address of that particular ward assessing officer Solution - BY Amlan Dutta @ Mandeep jaiswal , you dont send the return(ITR 1/2/34 etc) whatever you have filed ... you simply send the acknowledgement for the filed return ( without any attachment ......once any return is filled and uploaded , a acknowledgment (ITR V )is generated , first fill it up , sign it and then look at the at the bottom part of the acknowledgement (ITR V ) ...it clearly states where it needs to be sent.....to be precise , you need to send the acknowledgment (ITR V ) for the filed return to Income tax department CPC, Post Bag Number 1 , Electronic City Post Office , Bengaluru- 560100 , Karnataka .....Send this by speed post ...you dont send the acknowledgement to your assessing officer ...once your acknowledgement is send received by the centralized cell at bangalore , they forward your return (ITR 1/2/3/4 etc as the case may be ) for assessment of return of income declared therein TO YOUR ASSESSMENT OFFICER ! If your case is selected for scrutiny assessment , then you are needed to carry your filled return and supporting documents to prove your total income declaration and tax credit statement to show you had tax credit available in that previous year to meet the tax liability ! And in case you need to know the address of your assessing officer , using the services feature in the income tax website to know him/her ...i have a tut for that ...it just needs your PAN details to be fed and will be mostly in the area that you reside (jurisdiction )!
