11th sept, Sadhu Sanga Festival, Anapa, Russia. Today is the last day of this Maha Sadhu Sanga festival at Anapa. Maha Initiation ceremony in the noon and closing ceremony in the evening are the highlights for today. Today many ISKCON gurus gave initiation to their respective candidates. Somehow we managed to make gm to reach the main marquee tent on time to give initiation. He has to initiate about ten candidates. When gm made his entry into the marquee, His Holiness Prahladanandan swami and His Holiness Bhakti Vaibhava swami were making their way out after granting initiation. Gm waited for His Holiness Bhakti Caitanya Swami and His Holiness Niranjana swami to initiate their respective candidates. While waiting for them to finish I noticed few devotees who were standing around gm started moving some very well decorated big flower vases which were placed around gms asana. I was just keep watching what they were trying to do. Then I noticed gm was telling them to keep some of those flower vases on both sides of the asanas of the other two maharajas. Because gm had like more than five vases only around his asana and nothing were around the asanas of the other two maharajas. We have no idea who made this arrangement. Was there when we came in. But seeing the disparity in the decoration he instructed them to equally place the vases. Lesson to be learnt: One should give equal respect and treatment not only to his own guru but also to other gurus who are his god brothers. I was amazed how he specifically noticed this disparity in decoration which all of us who were there failed to notice. He has done like this in many instances, correcting the devotees and disciples. In the evening gm gave Gaura Katha for more than 1000 devotees at the main tent and then joined a special istha gosthi event. He specifically requested us to arrange for an istha gosthi with all his Russian diksha disciples, sheltered and aspiring candidates and siksha disciples. Around 200 of them joined this program. It went on for almost 1 hour and 45 minutes. We have to force gm and the devotees to stop the program as it went beyond 10pm. Just question and answer session, without class. 12th sept; Departure day. We saw devotees and many iskcon leaders preparing themselves to leave. After meeting His Holiness Gopal Krsna Goswami in the morning and His Grace Prabha Vishnu Prabhu during the lunch, we departed to Anapa Airport to catch our flight to Moscow. His Holiness Bhakti Caitanya Swami and many other devotees were on the same flight with us to Moscow. Gm put up the night at Air Hotel in Moscow. 13th Sept; In the early afternoon there was a small gathering with about 30 over devotees at the green room of the hotel. Gm had lunch with all of them. There was a small Darshan too. At 5.15 pm we flew by British Airways 232 from Moscow to London. The cabin crews really took good care of us. As soon as the cabin crews saw the way we were handling gm, they requested myself and Haridas Prabhu to sit along with gm and Ekanath Prabhu in the first class cabin. Actually this is not the first time they have done so. They have upgraded us in more than 10 over flights that we had flew with them in the past years. Of all the airlines that we had travelled so far during gms physically challenged condition, British Airways crews, especially the senior ones, they are very much different than any others. We have noticed that they always think out of the box when they have to face an odd situations, and has the ability to make decision on the spot. Gm reached London at 6pm local time and was greeted by more than 50 devotees. We drove the same night to Birmingham and gm had his dinner on the way. Reached HG Nitai Charan Prabhus house at almost 10.30pm. 70 over devotees waited eagerly to receive gm at that odd hours with kirtan and guru puja. Gm went to bed at 12 midnight.
