12.02.2014 Daily Devotion Looking Ahead. ...Occupy till I come.” Luke 19:13b By Dr. M.H. Salahshurian, Ph. D If the Lords last parting words to His disciples were ...Occupy till I come, then His abiding reality compels us to be in tune with His order which comes to us moment by moment. Im already searching and planning for a newer and better way of serving Him in the coming year! When it comes to serving Him age is insignificant. The Lord Himself when He was only twelve years of age, He was busy serving the Father ( Luke 2:42-49). And, after three days they found Him in the temple Luke 2:46. when they found Him this was His response in Luke 2:49. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Fathers business? As the Lords childhood was not immaturity waiting to grow into manhood, neither the child of God, “As the newborn babes”, when we receive Christ. As His childhood was an eternal fact, so is the life of the new believer at any age. The believers lives become an eternal fact the moment he/she receives Christ, and Christ begin to dwelt in him. As Christ was in His Fathers house serving, our identification with Christ, residing in us makes us to look at our lives as being in Fathers house. So, the question we need to ask is. Is Christ, the Son of God living in His Fathers house residing in me, the answer is emphatically, Yes ( Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 13:5). When we recognize this fact, His order comes to us moment by moment! It seems Job finally realize that when he said in: Job 7:17-18 What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment? Are we continually in touch with the reality of God, or are we conscious of God and pray only when things have gone wrong, and we need something? The life of Christ is to become our vital, simple life. Web: theswordandshield Email: msalahshurian@yahoo
