12/13/2014 - 10:15 PM - UPDATE 26 weeks today! I had to meet again with contractor, tile guys and electrician. Melanie came over and helped me decide on a final tile pattern. After all the conversation, I headed to Heritage. Val was up in the wheelchair and had been up since 8:30. He wanted to get in bed, but I talked him into staying up until after his lunch. He cleaned his plate. He stood and got to the wheelchair with a little help from her. Melanie had brought me to individual pecan pies and we really enjoyed them. The CNA told me that she got Val up without the Hoyer Lift. We got his hair washed and he got a good razor shave. Got him to bed (with the help from the CNA) and he had a nap. After his nap, we worked on moving his right arm and bending his right leg. The arm really hurt, but got him something for pain and he worked through it .Later in the afternoon, Janna and Pat came up for a visit. We enjoyed their visit - lots of laughing! Got him all ready for bed and headed home. When I got home, the first thing I did was look at the bathroom. They didnt finish putting the tile down, but whats done looks good. I enjoyed at great dinner at Lorettas with our friends and neighbors - Chris, Mona and Ashley. Your continuous prayers are greatly appreciated. Lord, thank you for the progress that Val continues to make. I pray for him to keep moving forward. I ask that you continue to give me the strength and health to do what I need to do for Val. We praise You for Your goodness.
