12-24-2014 > Quotes of the Day! Judy McCreary 3:00pm April 30th Both tennis and golf are mental. Both are competitive. Both use individual strategies, etc! But TENNIS is the most politically correct ... You continually hear a player say sorry its the kindest sport --- Love ... is always a factor! Yvonne Gallop 2:44pm April 30th Tennis is played by a clock in between points and games. Just not duration limitations! Guillermo Rivas 2:00pm April 30th In my opinion what a great thing tennis players we can play both fantastic sports with good performance in both sports ... tennis and golf, what a great combination! Guillermo Rivas 1:57pm April 30th Don Petrine, to win or be in contention in a golf tournament you need during 4 days in a row, to hit that ball almost perfect more than 200 times (no matter long distances or short 2 feet putts down hills aajjajaja these are really shaky) I think you need a little bit more than certain skills. Just walking distances we are speaking about 50 km in 5 days, also is physical. I think 50 km is more less 30 miles if I am right. Just Tennis 1:55pm April 30th You really cant compare golf and tennis. They have very few things in common. Because neither sport plays by a clock, they both demand much more discipline. Mainly individual sports every high and low you will mentally feel. They are both specialties, demanding great hand and eye skills. However tennis take it many step further. Tennis is actually a physical chess match in ones ability and agility in movement and balance. Endurance is a must in tennis, not in golf. In tennis, endurance is a basic strategy for some players. The physical demands tennis players can endure along with high level mental awareness makes tennis far more difficult to play. Phil Secada 5:39am April 30th 04-29-2014 > Debate of the Day! Tennis is much more tougher to master than golf. For starters, in golf, one only has to hit an object that is sitting still; while the tennis player has to hit tennis balls with slice, flat, topspin, or heavy topspin. The tennis player uses only one tennis racquet; while the golfer has at his/her disposal, many clubs with many different hitting angles. Finally, the tennis player has to play all different types of games from his/her opponents; while the golfer has only one to play against > his/her own mind. https://youtube/watch?v=KZfJ288P4ko
