12 August 2013 FundConnect launches new free service for professional investors FundConnect has launched a Beta version of Nordic Fund Data (NFD) - a new free Nordic fund information source for the professional investment market. The initiative will consist of two elements: a centralized password-protected fund information portal and single point of entry that can be used by professional investors to screen and perform peer analysis within the Nordic region. Nordic Fund Data has two primary components within its business concept: 1) To offer a complementary fund information platform for professional investors that can support their fund monitoring activities in a cost effective manner. Professional investors will receive access to the password-protected fund information portal free of charge, and will have access to relevant fund data and key information, including performance and risk figures, sales contact information, key sales documents and analytical tools, in order to screen Nordic and international funds within the respective peer groups. 2) To allow fund companies to make their funds visible to the professional investor segment and to improve their branding and sales efforts in a cost efficient manner.
