12 FACTS you should know of the children at Pandawas Academy . 1. Has 56 kids and growing 2. 80% majority are Afghan kids with the remaining from Pakistan and Iran 3. Kids age ranges from 7- 17 years old 4. The school operates 5 days a week teaching Eng , Math & Science as a primary subject. 5. Theres no transport for kids, so they walk to school 5-10 mins away from their rented flats. 6. The school was founded by an American man by the name of Robert Levitt and its Directors are Jessica & Jeannete, also the Head teacher there. 7. School operates from 9am - 2.30 pm 8. School was established in Sep 2013 9. School currently has 4 fulltime teachers 10. Many of them begin their life here as a transit point, are under process by UN & could take from 2 up to 8 years wait before they get send to an adopted country elsewhere. 11. While they wait, technically theyre not suppose to work, but needs so to feed their families. 12. Many of their families face hardship, poverty, job unemployment & employers exploitation because of their illegal status while under UN process.
