12) No. No. No. In 1968, Frank Zappa released the album Cruising With Ruben And The Jets on his own Bizarre label, a subsidiary of Warner/Reprise. It was an homage to the music he liked as a teenager, and the cover contained the caption Is this the Mothers Of Invention recording under a different name in a last ditch attempt to get their cruddy music on the radio? Zappa edited mixed tracks to create two versions of No. No. No. This is the long version, released posthumously on the album Greasy Love Songs, which features Zappa, Roy Estrada, Ray Collins, Jimmy Carl Black, Art Tripp, Don Preston, Ian Underwood, Bunk Gardner and Motorhead Sherwood. These are the original band performances, without the later overdubbed tracks recorded by Arthur Barrow and Chad Wackerman. TG #DailyZappa
