12 Rules for a healthy lifestyle. Part 2 Becoming and staying healthy is pretty basic. It can be real easy once you have the knowledge of what works and what to avoid. Healthy does not require any extra money or special gym equipment or workout program. You don’t need to buy vitamins or supplements. Even those have side effects that can be negative or harmful. Trust me when I say there is no magic medicine, pill, injection or shot to give you good health. Hormone therapy or steroids are not the answer. In fact they can cause you serious harm. Each of us is equipped with all we need to become healthy. Your body is like a car. It will only run as well as the fuel you put in it. Just as our brain is like programming a computer garbage in garbage out. Here is all you need to lose weight and to be healthy and maintain a good fit condition is this short list: Drink water when you are thirsty. Avoid soft drinks, sports drinks and fruit juices. Eat only when you are hungry. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Limit your red meat and other animal fats. Stay lean on meats, choose fish and sea food over poultry. Choose poultry over beef or pork. Eat your meals in a specific order (Salad, soup, potatoes, beans and vegetables and then your protein). Eat food as close to the vine as possible. Avoid Dairy products. Avoid processed foods (especially dry or oily). Avoid sauces. Avoid boxed or canned foods or any processed foods. Avoid fast food and junk food. Get as much physical movement as you can. Walk a lot. Increase your physical activity and fun. If you follow this plan you will lose weight, you will get and stay fit and live a much longer and healthier life.
