12 months back when 2014 unveiled itself raising its grand curtain, my heart was brimming with excitement and expectations and my mind was full of plans and promises. Through The Kidz Parade, I saw hundreds of kids finding their confidence, their voice and becoming inspirational leaders to their peers. While 2014 is closing its curtain; there is one incident that keeps coming back into my mind from time-to-time. It happened a few months back. It was a week after I had given a keynote on education at a parenting seminar. A gentle man who reminded me of my late father came to me and said, “I was there listening to your talk the other day. I was a man who had lost all hope in my life. But after listening to you, I feel ‘I can… I can’. Your words brought back hope into my life. Until my last breath, I will not forget you”. Several parents and kids had come and talked to me after that talk. And I kept thinking why this particular uncle comes into my mind all the time. Is it because I was narrow-minded to think that only young kids and their parents would get inspired by my words? Is it because he was outside the grand plans that I had made for myself? While 2014 is coming to a close, I pray and wish, “Uncle, may you fulfil all your dreams. May you always keep that attitude of ‘I can’. May you become an inspiration to many others”
