12 years ago Sunny was 4 and Diva (Divaa) was 2 and we were up early to get everything together to travel down to Bournemouth for Xmas in Bournemouth. Anyone with two young nippers will know how long this takes (nappys, pottys, last minute changing of cloathes etc etc) Anyway it used to take us a few hours to get everything packed and sorted into the car and ready to go. We finally had everything including our babies loaded into the car and Ive dashed back up the drive just to make sure a window was shut or something when I get a text. Joe Strummer has died !!. WTF!! Its hard to describe how much of a shock this was. The Clash werent my favorite band, Id always loved them but they werent top of MY list. But something about this news stopped me in my tracks and I was moved almost to tears. It felt like one of ours had been taken cruelly early and seemed very unfair. We know that just like all of us Joe never always got it right and sometimes early on said some pretty silly things (didnt we all?) but he always came over as both passionate and sincere.
