12 years ago today, I sat in my living room folding clothes, and watching TV. With a child in Kindergarten, 1 in Preschool, and my 1 year old next to me in his seat, I could not believe what I was seeing! Before 2nd plane hit, I kept thinking, how that could possibly happen! With everything so advanced these days, what kind of skilled pilot could possibly not see 1of the tallest buildings in the world? I called my FIL and only then did I learn that this was suspected terrorism! So then my eyes were glued to the TV! When bam, the 2nd plane hit, as we are watching 1st tower burning! My God, what is happening??? I want my babies home, I want to hug them forever and keep them safe! As everything unfolded that day, we became a unified nation! We as Americans banned together! The following days and weeks were unimaginable for families of lost loved ones, firefighters, police officers, port authority, just trying to save people! Images of people jumping to their certain deaths! Innocent children in a day care center! Now I sit watching the documentaries from that fateful day 12 years ago! Still seems like yesterday! Something forever in all of our hearts, minds and souls!
