121114 Michael Charles Band at The 21st Saloon in Omaha, NE. Michael Charles has been in the music business for thirty years and even though he was born in Austrailia he has lived in the US for the last twenty plus years. He has played with Buddy Guy, Phil Guy, James Cotton, Eddy Clearwater, Junior Wells, George Baze, and Jimmy Dawkins. He has been nominated for 6 grammys and has a discography of 30 releases. This band is very tech savy and NET aware....they took the time to lay out cards and brouchures that told about their music and provided the means to download an app for their music. I was very impressed by that as well as the music they provided. Check him out on Facebook and see him live whenever you can...you wont be disappointed. Very nice tune here that has what I call a Big Boy drum solo.....meaning not many drummers play like this. The drum kit is like one you would expect to see on a major tour complete with two tandem toms and full assortment of cymbals and he absolutely knows how to use them all. So glad the stage at the 21st Saloon is big enough for us to see this. Michael thanks the crowd and ends the show with his slogan....and, as always, hope to see you somewhere, someplace, sometime real soon .....I agree !!!
