1270 people viewed the discussion on Festival Walk – Brilliant! Sadly we haven’t heard from any of our County or Town Councillors! In March 2008, Castlemore purchased Festival Walk shopping area from previous owners Edinburgh-based Ediston Properties for a reported £10m and then went into administration. In the current market place surely it must be worth less than that and if DCC can find the money to spend an estimated £14,000,000 yes £14 MILLION on the new Thinford Roundabout then this would be small change and would benefit the people of Spennymoor much more! As far as the Town Council is concerned it would be good to know what assets they control on our behalf; e.g. do you know that they hold a 20% stake in the Durham Crematorium! The questions are how much is that worth and why do we have this investment? Come on Councillors let’s hear from you.
