13,206 people entered a polling location, received a ballot and cast a vote for Team Calhoun last night. That is humbling, and I am very thankful for the support. I have serious ethical questions about the ballot layout. Putting the Stop Common Core candidates on the same line as the Libertarian candidates sets up an inherently unequal ballot line that is virtually guaranteed to cause errors and deprive some people of their right to vote. This is the problem with government. You put 10 people in a room, and they cant solve a problem that one graphic designer could easily solve. 1) reduce the size so that all lines fit equally and all party lines are capable of voting party line left to right. Or 2) Instead of listing the parties top to bottom (which may set up a subconscious hierarchy mentality but thats another discussion for another time) list them from left to right across the paper so that they fit more easily. Where government fails, individuals acting together will succeed. We carry on today. Thank you for your support.
