13.7 done today, my long run for the week as I couldnt do one yesterday due to time constraints. It was meant to be a handbrake off and motoring along canal run up to Harecastle Tunnels and back but then I opted to run a little later as I wasnt feeling the love so I met up with Clare Dundas and Clare Shubotham at the Mich club and ran round Hanchurch Fisheries with them for 3.5 miles then peeled away and made my way up to Beech then down past Beech Caves and into Tittensor a spell along the A34 before going up Trentham Road and then along Stanley Matthews Way and around the Britannia Stadium running round the Stanley Matthews Statue at the corner of the car park to try and get some of that supreme energy that he had in abundance.... Then it was down by the incinerator, along by the river and finally just short of 14 miles I arrived back at the Mich for a well earned shower. I clocked just short of 1:58 for the distance and also I managed a time of 1:52:47 for the 13.1 mark which is much improved on recent years and my quickest since 2011. So it was hillier and slower than planned but much much more rewarding, and thanks again to the two Clares :-)
