13 NOVEMBER 2013, FORT EEDWARD, NEW YORK, 11:45 AM...POWDERY snow covered the dried maple leaves and the remaining grass in on my sisters lawn. the mailboxes too, ARE in a row.....a dozen of them, numbered accordingly.SOME BEARING NAMES, SOME JUST NUMBERS... MY sister lives on a mobile= homes park and her unit is right on the entrance....she is proud that she has no mortgage....... right where she parks her car is a giant maple tree, devoid of leaves now, its branches silently waiting for the snow to cover it. I surmise, it takes about six people with both arms outstretch to encircle the maple tree...I wonder if its the same tree that maple syrup is drawn from.........right behind the next unit is a forest of young maple trees.....their now-brown leaves lying on the grass...waiting too, for snow....while the winter chill is here, SNOW has fallen on the mountains of upstate new York....... while behind the other row of units, is open meadow....where golden brown deer pasture in herds.....oblivious of passing cars and people........hunting is prohibited here and the deer know that....gone too, are the darting squirrels gathering acorns and storing them in places only GOD and them , knows where. MEANTIME, THE COLLECTIVE CONSCIENCE OF THE WORLD IS RIVETED on the islands of the Philippines, south of the capital city......
