13 random facts you may not know about me. If you like this, I assign you a number :) 1. I spend about 75% of my work day reading and/or writing. 2. When I graduated from high school, I moved to Las Vegas with my friend Melissa, worked odd jobs like telemarketing mobile home roofs, stuffing envelopes at the Hilton and cashier at the UNLV bookstore. 3. My senior year of college I spent in Paris at the Sorbonne and worked as an ‘au pair’ for a wealthy Italian family, taking care of their bratty 10-year-old boy, in exchange for a tiny room (maid’s chamber) on the 6th floor of their luxury apartment building. 4. If I hadn’t met my ex-husband, I probably would have taken a job teaching English in Poland or Saudi Arabia but instead I moved to Arizona and ended up in law school. 5. I was in Indiana University’s modern dance company as a grad student in the 90s. 6. I have a fascination with Chinese medicine, get acupuncture regularly and, if I had it to do over, I’d go to Chinese medical school. 7. I once went to an astrologer who told me I was a Carmelite nun in a former life. 8. I have had 8 teeth pulled and wore braces for 2 ½ years. 9. I had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and grew out of it. 10. 5 of the 6 members of my immediate family live a short distance from the ocean or a great lake. 11. I can play the piano, oboe, violin and guitar, but none of them well except maybe the piano. 12. I almost always take a bath instead of a shower. 13. I have an irrational fear of walking on manhole covers so walk around them.
