13 years ago I, like many Americans sat with my family watching our country being attacked. It saddens me that so many years later we have an entire generation who has not experienced true leadership from our White House. I feel lucky to have lived during the Reagan years - whether you liked him or not he commanded respect, expressed patriotism and demonstrated leadership. This clip reminds us of what it is like to be led by a person of conviction, decisiveness and action in the interest of protecting our country. As I worked covering a 9/11 remembrance ceremony today I couldnt help feeling angry about our countrys losses during the past 13 years and that our world today seems even more dangerous than it did following that awful attack. God bless our USA, as we are going to need His help in coming years dealing with so many groups who threaten the freedom of us all.
