13 years ago, I was blessed with a little one who stole my heart the minute I laid eyes on her. She is my miracle keiki.... since I was told by doctors that I would never experience motherhood the natural way. She is me... All wrapped up in a mini package. That scares me to the core, but it also excites me in that I have teachable moments already set in place. She is very opinionated, strong willed and beautiful!! She has an old soul - which leads me to believe that she has my moms spirit in her. The conversations that we have astound me sometimes. My Lilo is artistic,as was her tutu, (grandmother), talented in many arenas, intuitive, and truly has a great bigger than her soul. She is a lover of animals and goes out of her way to nurture all animals... she is a thinker - constantly looking for the unknown answers... Full of questions and thoughts. She likes to take things apart and figure it all out. She is smart and I do see great things in her future!! She is my pride and joy, I love her to no end. She drives me crazy, we butt heads, we fight, we argue. I cry, she cries. I feel defeated, she feels sad. Emotional rollercoaster, well we are ticket holders.... But at the end of the day, this is my theme park and I will take this ride EVERY DAY if the end result is getting to be as close to my Lilo as possible and sharing in every and all things that enter her world. She has made me a more insightful person, she has brought me back to God and I will forever be indebted to her for that. She is my calm before the storm... And then she is the storm that rocks the water lol. I pray and hope that she makes the best choices for her, but still has the where with all to come to me if she is unsure. Lilo, I love you forever and always!!!! You will always have my heart, I will always guard your soul. We are more alike than you know.... without you and your sister.. My life would have no true meaning.
