13 years ago, as the second World Trade Center tower fell, our English Composition class at West Point was stunned, speechless with wide-eyes glued to the TV set. We knew we were headed to war. Our professor, a Special Forces colonel with many years of combat experience stormed into the classroom: turn that sh_t off. NOW. Theres absolutely nothing you can do about that right now. Focus on passing this class, graduating and training your troops to fight back. You are going to war, maybe for the rest of your lives. Get your education now because without it, we will certainly lose. Thirteen years later, I have to say, that was the best advice I ever followed. Id only add one thing. We are still at war; and we must always fight to educate ourselves.
