13 years ago today I was VERY PREGNANT and VERY BLESSED. I didnt know what there were but the nursery was painted, my bags were packed , I had eaten my most favorite meal (tacos) and I was trying to settle in for what was going to be my last night of uninterrupted sleep for I didnt know how long. Between the twins wrestling for space and my excitement I couldnt sleep. The sun rose and I was off on the most amazing journey of my life... Motherhood. I had four names picked out and a waiting room full of family and friends waiting to find out who they were. Would they be buying pink or blue balloons and teddy bears or both? At 1:32 pm in the middle of my favorite soap opera, ALL MY CHILDREN, Baby A was born. Weighing in at 5lbs 11oz. I had a son, NOAH JAMES ( after his dad and grandfathers). I laughed the whole time. My doctor said he had never seen anyone enjoy labor so much. Well lucky me I got to do it again 18 minutes later. At 1:50, Baby B was born. Weighing 6lbs, Noah had a twin brother, JACOB DUGAN ( named after his great grandparents). I was a mother or two sons. Wow! I instantly fell head over heels in an indescribable love. The journey has brought here. I am about to me a mother of two amazing teenagers. How did I get here? I can remember every detail of that amazing day but cant remember how I got here. It is all a blur.... Baseball games, birthday parties, doctors visits, parent teacher conferences, good night kisses, family vacations and lot of tears and laughs. All I know is I am still VERY BLESSED!!! Noah Hewes and Jacob Hewes I love you so much and am so proud of the kind, loving, smart, handsome, special young men you are. The last 13 years have been the most incredible years of my life and I cant wait to see what your future holds. Happy 13th birthday! Xoxo
