13 years.... on that day i could see the smoke billowing 40 miles away.... watching the live coverage on tv, also on the phone for the next five hours to try n see if niece Courtney n Doug, living a few blocks away, were okay... phones finally opened up to reaching brother Bob who said he heard briefly from them that they were safe.... ive done longer posts for the past dozen years, re Doug n Courtney being on their apartment deck taking a video of the fire in the first tower, thinking it was a tragic accident, when a split-second into the video the second plane roars over their heads and explodes into the second tower.... utter chaos for the next five minutes of their tape, up on the balcony screaming with others, then on the street, people running by them in panic... chilling every time i watch it... and, lost an alum from high-school... and, a friend lost 50 of her co-worker friends... and, Jake was, at times, in the towers for meetings, the office being one story up from where the first plane crashed into, he wouldve been gone... fortunately he was in Boston on business that morning... at the hotel restaurant for breakfast he said good morning to a flight crew walking by... found out later they were the crew for the second flight.... and now, a tribute... theres many of em but this one shows a connection on the cover pic that Keerah finds fitting... i agree.... (and if youve got stories/thoughts/feelings from that day, kindly share away)....
