13 yrs ago today, my day started out like any other day. I got up, dressed and went to work. At around 8:50, I had a customer come up to me at the service desk of the supermarket I was working at, and tell me that they just heard on the radio that a plane crashed into the WTC in NYC. My co-workers and I were in complete disbelief, so we turned on the television that we had in the cash office, and were immediately taken aback. We watched in tears as the media showed the aftermath, and unfortunately seen the second plane hit. Our sadness was then turned to anger when we realized that this wasnt an accident, and indeed a terrorist act. The world will never be the same, but stronger bonds were built that day. I want to thank all of the military men and women as well as police and firefighters. Thank you for preserving our freedom and keeping us safe.
