130kg Log from today - another PB! Followed by a huge amount of reps at 115kg ...Right, Im having a bit of a dilemma, I just weighed in at 113kg after dropping a little for the last four weeks. Im feeling stronger than ever right now, but am clearly over 105kg Im not strong enough for opens (which is cool, Im happy to be bottom of the pack for a while and really focus) but I feel Im perhaps limiting my strength far too much staying at U105, due to my natural build/height - I can easily make weight through water manipulation and carb depletion etc, but its a pain and ultimately, being as strong as possible regardless of competition, is my end goal. Sooo, Opinions... Do I finish dropping weight and do the rest of this year as a U105 then take another year next year to slowly slowly get stronger, faster and better, or - do I compete as lean as possible in U105 and focus on a bit of body composition and weight loss. - or do I just get stronger and stronger? If I stay heavier, Id move into the open-weight category Intermediates at bodypower this year instead of the U105, would that be fair? Can I call myself an intermediate or should I pull out? The weights would be a challenge - but Id value other competitors opinions on that particular topic. Id also move into the opens at BNSM qualifiers.
