13th WONCA World Rural Health Conference. Breaking Down Barriers: Bringing People Together - VdGM Representatives Sought woncarural2015/ VdGM has been contacted by Tanja Pekez-Pavlisko, Chair of the organising committee of this Dubrovnik Conference and John Wynne-Jones, Chair of the WWPRP (WONCA Working Party on Rural Practice). They have requested that VdGM become an important part of and partner in this meeting. There are many reasons why, but two of the most important are that in the Balkan region, family medicine needs to be strengthened and young physicians need to be more involved in its organisation. VdGM involvement in this Conference is therefore regarded as very important both for the Conference and for the entire region. The organisers are keen to involve VdGM in the programme in the form of a session / programme and I am seeking anyone from VdGM who is interested in participating and representing VdGM. This represents a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is interested in Rural Family Medicine to represent VdGM at a major international Conference. Anyone from VdGM who is interested in this wonderful opportunity, please contact me (dr.peter.a.sloane@gmail) and we can then organise how VdGM will be represented / involved in the Conference.
