14/4/2014 22:13 White watch - After an incident free week on the last night of the watch Both lifeboats were launched in response to a request from HM coastguard Solent to search for two persons lost in the dark in a tidal area reporting as being somewhere in the Eleanore/Snow Hill Creek/ East Head area of Chichester Harbour . D boat made passage to Snow Hill Creek and Atlantic 85 to East Head. Crews were called by Solent to advise that the casualties were reporting seeing flashing blue lights - Shortly afterwards they were both located safe and well in Snow Hill Creek cut off by the tide. They were taken on board the D boat and taken ashore to East Head where they were handed over the to Selsey Coastguard search team who had also be tasked. Once this achieved both boats returned to the Lifeboat station 22:55 where they were recovered and made ready for service.
