My son died very unexpectedly from an undiagnosed CHD, so they looked at me like I was a suspect. They would only let me hold him for a few minutes and then I was told not to touch him until the police came. It was grief on top of grief. I was doubly devastated. My family doctor drugged me ( I have no REAL memories, just bits and pieces). The bereavement ladies cried with me and would have been a godsend if I hadnt been drugged. Only my Perinatologist was caring, he didnt say anything just sighed and walked away with tears, his whole office was compassionate.
