14MAR1864: Up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the Department of the Northwest is run by Major General John “Command from my Saddle” Pope. Little did anyone realize that Milwaukee was, at the end of the day, his saddle. Unable to achieve much of anything on the battlefields of Virginia other than the death of his own men, MG Pope has been very successful in these parts rounding up Lakota Sioux and executing them. Abraham Lincoln … aware of the mass hangings and slaughters of the Lakota Sioux … did little to stop this extermination of what he considered to be an “inferior” race. Now immigrants are pouring in from Europe by the droves, and MG Pope is overseeing the stealing of Lakota Sioux land, and the disbursement of this as a free gift to the arriving European foreigners. But MG Pope wants the foreign immigrants to be safe from harm. So today he issues a warning to all foreign immigrants to watch out for any “hostile Indians” before crossing the upper plains to the Idaho territory. Down on the Red River, it’s not much of a battle. 350 brave Freedom Fighters hold out in Fort De Russy which is about half-way up the Red River toward Alexandria, Louisiana. They are surrounded by 10,000 Blue-Devils of the XIII and XIX US Army Corps, who advance on the fort from Berwick Bay and Bayou Teche. 48 Blue-Devils are killed and 2 Freedom Fighters head to heaven before the remaining men in the fort surrender. Fort De Russy is the only defense for the innocent women and children in Alexandria, Louisiana. The US President issues a new Executive Order from his Capital to go out through all the districts, announcing the next round of participants in Lincoln’s “Hunger Games”. All towns throughout the districts are to be given specific “quotas” to fill for the drafting of another 200,000 participants in Lincoln’s War, for the naval service, to join the 500,000 he has recently called up for the Army. The order: Executive Mansion. Washington, March 14th 1864 In order to supply the force required to be drafted for the Navy, and to provide an adequate reserve force for all contingencies,--- in addition to the five hundred thousand men called for February 1st. 1864, a call is hereby made and a draft ordered for two hundred thousand men for the ``military service (Army, Navy, and Marine Corps) of the United States. The proportional quotas for the different wards, towns, townships, precincts or election districts, or counties, will be made known through the Provost Marshal Generals Bureau, and account will be taken of the credits and deficiencies on former quotas. The 15th. day of April, 1864, is designated as the time up to which the numbers required from each ``ward of a city, town, &c. may be raised by voluntary enlistment, and drafts will be made in ``each ward of a city, town, &c. which shall not have filled the quota assigned to it within the time designated, for the number required to fill said quotas. The draft will be commenced as soon after the 15th. of April as practicable. The Government bounties, as now paid, continue until April 1st, 1864, at which time the additional bounties cease. On and after that date, one hundred dollars bounty only will be paid, as provided by the act approved July 22d. 1861. ABRAHAM LINCOLN en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Fort_De_Russy
