14th sept 1981 a gorgeous little boy was brought into this world , and I was given the honour and privilege of being his mum. We named him tom and our journey together began. Over the next weeks months and indeed years he brought me joy, and sadness, he was a happy content baby despite being born with a condition known as pyloric stenosis , which almost took his life at 11weeks of age. But a clever surgeon sorted him out and he went from strength to strength. Over the years he turned out to be a very clever and had the ability to do anything he desired. He indeed had the intelligence to be a doctor or even a lawyer, this said however is where the sad bit is, he never fulfilled his potential, perhaps I was not strict enough, perhaps I should have insisted homework was completed and submitted, who knows, tom however decided he knew better and left school half way through his highers ( a levels to all my English friends) . He then at the age of 16/17 met a girl called Gemma Baxter who was the one who truly captured his heart, she was the one who also broke his heart. My boy was broken, he was so sad, I did not know what to do, but I did what all mums do, I helped him pick up the pieces and put them back together. He carried on with life without that special girl for a few years. Then travelling home from work one day, he saw her stood at a bus stop, well I can tell you he gave Longford christie a run for his money, he was up and of that bus before you could say lunchbox and once again my boy was complete the girl he truly loved was back in his life . It was not all plain sailing from then in, like tom Gemma was also a very bright girl who had given herb parents a rough ride, tom was not the boy they hoped their daughter would meet and marry, however as we all know true love is a powerful emotion and these two young people got together and began their life as a couple they did everything back to front , they found a flat to live in, neither of them lined the work word at this point so life was a struggle to say the least . After being together for a number if years they brought my gorgeous granddaughter into this world. Then followed swiftly by my adorable grandson. Thought this time they have found themselves homeless, tom has been made redundant more times than I care to remember, but he eventually found work which he still lives to this day, when my grandchildren were both old enough Gemma went to college and eventually university where today she is studying for her degree in child psychology. So where do these two young people find themselves TODAY, well let me tell you. TODAY. 22 / 11 / 14 Miss Gemma Baxter after living with my so for 10 plus years and giving him two adorable children does him the honour of becoming MRS GEMMA LESSELLS! I am the proudest mum on gods earth right now, for I am not losing my son I am gaining an amazing daughter. So Gemma may I take this opportunity to say thank you to you for making my son both happy and totally complete . I wish you both from today onwards the most amazing life filled with fun and laughter, health and happiness.
