15/08/2014 To celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of Bhutan Kidney Foundation, coinciding with India’s 68th Independence Day, the Foundation and kidney patients of Patient Guest House (Thimphu) along with the doctors and health volunteers of RIHS lit butter lamps and offered prayers at the Memorial Chorten, Thimphu in memory of all the kidney patients passed away till date. Further, the prayers were offered for the wellbeing of kidney patients on dialysis as well as for all the sentient beings. Free checkup of Blood Pressure was also organized at the Memorial Chorten where 125 people turned up to avail the service provided by RIHS team led by Dr. Ugyen Dophu. The Foundation also sent an amount of Nu. 18,000 to supply groceries among the 17 kidney patients residing at Mongar Hospital Patient Guest House for which the BKF would like to thank all its members and supporters. Bhutan Kidney Foundation was officially registered as a Public Benefit Organization on 15th August 2012 under Civil Society Organization Authority. -BKF-
