15:40 Proud to be part of Obamas speech, next time Chaiyya Chaiyya for sure: SRK: Shah Rukh Khan has reason to be pleased today. Not that he doesnt other days, but to have US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi borrowing his line from the blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, is quite something else. While addressing the crowd at the Siri Fort Auditorium on the last pit stop of his three-day visit, President Obama said he remembered his previous visit in 2010 and dancing the Bhangra with his wife, Michelle Obama at an event in Mumbai. We were not able to schedule any dance on this visit. Senorita, bade bade deshon mein...you know what I mean, said the US president, grinning, as his audience cheered delightedly. Shah Rukh Khan, who originally spoke those words, was also mentioned in the speech. Calling for equal opportunities for all without discriminating between gender, religion, caste, creed, colour, Obama said, Every Indian should celebrate the success of Shah Rukh Khan, Mary Kom and Milkha Singh equally, not by colour of skin or worship. Shah Rukh Khan responded in a tweet: Proud 2 b part of the gender & religion equality speech of Pres. Obama. Sad he couldnt do the Bhangra...next time Chaiyya Chaiyya for sure.
