#15 #a.pretty.long.one! How many Tl;dr ? Hello Seniors, I have got (i) C.S.E(B. Tech) at KIIT (||) will probably get metallurgy at B.I.T. Sindri(JCECE-500) #musings of a GENERAL category student! (|||) Civil at Manipal,Blore (not interested in civil,but still had to opt for it!as I wont get a decent branch till 2nd round of JEE main counselling ) Where should I go ? I can easily get a management seat at Banglore with the fees I will be paying to KIIT(I diddnt fill in COMEDK,got trolled!) I have heard from KIIT-2013 batch(recent enough) and from some fine cool dude Mech./EEE/ECE/IT passouts if you study @kiits,you end up working for an I.T. company for ~3L per annum. Fees for me is not much of a problem, but considering the ROI(Return on Investment), I feel it is dreadfully LOW investment, and itll force me to prepare for an M.B.A degree(for which I am not ready) as I want to pursue an M.S. in Cryptography or Cloud Computing after my B.Tech. What struck me was the 300+ seats in B. Tech(KIIT=a coaching institute or what???), two new dual degrees(hope they have bothered to get the approvals for it!) and a beaten+extremely poor+careless award winning management,a poorly designed and structured group of web-sites and to make matters worse,KIIT fails in almost ALL parameters listed in here cse.iitk.ac.in/users/dheeraj/ideas/other-coll.html except the newly acquired NAAC A grade And they all bring me to a frightful halt before I proceed to pay the fees. Seriously what is good about KIIT? A bunch of good faculties who will deliver the same old age notes to us they have acquired from their IITs ?Why has the college ranking slipped down when it was given an A grade university status ? Why was KIIT better(a hollow comparison based purely on rankings,but a good question) in 2009 ?? Why companies like INTEL come here ONLY for C.S.E students (the scene this year....heard from an EEE student working for TCS)?Why is C.S.E a hype(compared to other branches) at KIIT?
