$15 minimum wage!? There are so many hard working men and women out of work. You know who is working? Immigrants, willing to work for low wages! Due to labor unions, high cost of living, insane taxes, insane regulation, lack of skills, and self entitled Americans, our jobs either get outsourced or imported. Some businesses never get off the ground due to fees, licensing, high labor cost, and taxes. Imagine this, no income taxes, no fees, and no min wage. The cost to do business would go down. Business would hire people willing to work for what theyre willing to pay. Without income taxes, workers could afford to work for lower wages. Competition between businesses would force them to compensate their workers appropriately or risk losing them. Low skilled workers would gain skills, improving their human capital and raising their own wage. Costs of goods would go down, because businesses wouldnt have to pass on costs to consumers. This is how it used to be. Weve only had an income tax since 1913. Small businesses used to be able to compete with the giants. There used to actually be manufacturing in the US.
