15 months. Well first off let me say that I have been promoted and I am now putting stickers on mangoes. This is still mind numbing work buuttttt I dont have perpetually wet feet, I can listen to the old one ear music player AND the smell of the mango boxes fondly reminds me of grade school pizza days. In other news the past month has rewarded me with some wildlife sightings including BOTH egg laying mammals; the platypus and the echidna, a horny beetle chills with us at lunch time, and a brief look out the window at work afforded me a view of a wedge-tailed eagle soaring like a gangsta. As much as I love the Aussie lingo and accent, the patchwork English of Asian/European backpackers, and the downright obnoxious gab of Irish coworkers, I am really starting to miss good ole Canadian English. As much as I like taking the piss, I miss shooting the shit. Big shoutouts to THE Ohio State University and Raptors basketball. One month left in this upside down-ass country before going back to the Orient for some much needed therapy of mind, body and soul.
