15 months ago, three meth cooking punks broke into my truck and my daughters vehicle in our driveway. They stole $2500 worth of stuff. The three geniuses were eventually caught using a Target gift card that they stole from my daughter. Police tracked them down by tracing the card to a cash register it was used at. Once they had this info, they pulled video and were able to ID the sudafed buying brain trust. I had put all this in my rear view mirror months ago, giving up on our legal system and any hope of restitution. I even checked with my insurance company but found that my deductible was - you guessed it- $2500. But today I owe a debt of gratitude to our fair and just legal system! For in my mailbox yesterday, I found justice. A check!, in the amount of $13.43 made out to ME and signed by Mr. James Lee Mixon, Clerk of Superior Court, Iredell County! I think Ill use my newly found windfall to order Mr. Mixon a cheese pizza, thanking him for the justice Ive received. Ok, maybe half a cheese pizza. I can have it delivered straight to the courtroom. Or I could go to the bank and get 1343 pennies and spend the day throwing them in the fountain at the mall wishing our country wasnt run by a bunch of idiots. So many options....
