15 years ago today I stumbled into the roque center completely defeated. A shell of a human being. Full of fear, self loathing, and shame. All I knew was that my way no longer worked and my last best thought was to completely entrust the staff with my life, surrender. And surrender I did. First thing, get a sponsor, Sean Wright. (Still my sponsor) we got busy. Except when football was on. (Gotta enjoy life too). He helped my find a higher power, by not only working the steps, but experiencing them, and incorporating them into my everyday life. Its been an amazing journey, filled with so many wonderful people, so many laughs, tears, smiles, heartache, etc. All leading me to where I am now, married to the woman of my dreams, my bride, Summer Covert, Daddy to a little girl that loves me. A life beyond my widest dreams. As the song says, god bless the broken road, that led me straight to you. A sincere, heart felt, thank you, to each and every one of you on this journey with me!
