15 years ago today, on a beautiful Easter-Eve morning, Krista Marie decided (3.5 weeks early) that she was going to come into this world and share her birthday with her wonderful Great Grandma Alice. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 12.5 ounces, 19 inches long, and the bluest of blue eyes, she instantly melted the hearts of everyone that was there to meet her. Her Great Aunt Sandy called me in the hospital and told me that she knew in her heart that Krista was a gift to us from her Grandma Sheila. Krista I cant even begin to put into words the love, pride, and pure joy that you bring into my life. Your compassion, empathy, willingness to help when needed, determination to achieve, and drive to make a difference is beyond commendable. Your sense of humor and spontaneous laughter can turn any normal day into a spectacular one in an instant. I hope that today, and every day, you feel in your heart how amazing you are. I am so blessed to be your mama and I love you with all of my heart and soul. Happy Birthday Sis!
